A Very British Christmas at St. George's Church is Berlin's only traditional English Advent market, held on the grounds of St. George's Anglican Church in the Neu-Westend neighbourhood of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. The market evokes a Charles Dickens-era Victorian England atmosphere, with the church grounds romantically lit by torches and visitors and performers dressed in historical costumes. It is particularly popular with British expats in Berlin. Stalls offer traditional British handicrafts, second-hand and homemade items, English books and toys, and country-specific gifts from both English and German traders. Food and drink highlights include mince pies, Christmas pudding, hot toddies, homemade scotch eggs, fig puddings with brandy whipped cream, Copperfield stew, and mulled wine. Entertainment includes carol singers in Victorian dress, bagpipe performances, children's theatre, fairytale readings, a Berlin Children's Choir performance, communal carol singing with organ inside the church, and a tombola. The closest stop is Bus 349 at Badenallee (approx. 0.1 km); S-Bahn S3, S5, S9 to Heerstraße and U-Bahn U2 to Neu-Westend are each around 0.5 km away. Public transport is strongly recommended.
