Advent Lichter Genuss is an intimate Advent market held on the first two Advent weekends within Natur-Park Schöneberger Südgelände, a former railway yard turned urban nature reserve in Schöneberg, borough of Tempelhof-Schöneberg, Berlin. The park is transformed by festive light from fire bowls, spotlights, shining stars, and a visitor-created candle labyrinth — visitors are encouraged to bring their own candle in a jar to contribute. It is known as a cosy, romantic alternative to Berlin's larger Christmas markets, away from the bustle of shopping streets. The market features handmade goods around the water tower, including felt accessories, jewellery, paintings, and Christmas decorations made from natural and recycled materials, alongside wreath-making workshops, DIY gift-making in the Giardino Segreto, Christmas storytelling at the water tower, and children's wish-writing to Father Christmas. Food and drink include mulled wine, Bratwurst, Flammkuchen, waffles, crêpes, chestnuts, homemade gnocchi, and fruit wines, with Café Parsüd open at the Brückenmeisterei. The main entrance is at S-Bahnhof Priesterweg (S2, S25), with bus connections 170, 246, X76, and M76.
