Christmas at the Spree (Weihnachten an der Spree) is Berlin's only all-inclusive Christmas market, set on the riverside promenade of the Spreespeicher in Friedrichshain, Berlin, with views of the illuminated Oberbaumbrücke. The market deliberately limits visitor numbers for a low-crowd, intimate feel, and its cosy atmosphere is created by heating mushrooms, blankets, fire barrels, and Christmas-decorated huts along the Spree bank. A heated VIP tent with its own mulled wine station is available as an upgrade. The ticket price covers all food and most drinks, including mulled wine, beer, wine, punch, and hot chocolate, as well as a wide range of dishes from bratwurst and Spätzle to Finnish flambé salmon baguette and Germknödel. Activities include curling (Eisstockschießen) and tree-trunk nailing (Baumstammnageln). The nearest public transport hub is S+U Warschauer Straße (S3, S5, S7, S9; U1, U3; Tram M10), around 0.3–0.5 km away, and the market is also walkable from U-Bahn Schlesisches Tor via the Oberbaumbrücke.
