Location: Späthstraße 80/81, 12437 Berlin-Treptow-Köpenick, Germany
The Christmas Market at Späth'sche Baumschulen takes place in the historic grounds of Germany's oldest tree nursery, in the Baumschulenweg neighbourhood of Treptow-Köpenick, southeast Berlin. Themed 'Lichterglanz im Tannenwald' (Shimmering Lights in the Fir Forest), the market transforms the festively illuminated nursery with campfires, open fireplaces, a light garden at the Karpfenteich pond, and a handcrafted nativity scene — creating a romantic and picturesque atmosphere unlike any conventional city-centre market. More than 100 stalls offer artisan crafts including jewellery, wooden toys, rocking horses, sleds, and original Erzgebirge art, alongside food such as hearty kale, vegan goulash, game boulettes, Ukrainian Solyanka, waffles, and mulled wine in several varieties. Activities include live concerts hosted by rbb 88.8 presenter Ingo Hoppe, an evening fire show, Monbijou Theater fairy tale performances, horse-drawn carriage rides, and visits from Father Christmas. The market is reachable by S-Bahn to S Baumschulenweg, Bus 170 or 265 to Königsheideweg, or U7 to Blaschkoallee.
