Location: Winterfeldtplatz, Tempelhof-Schöneberg, 10781 Berlin, Germany
The Christmas Market at Winterfeldtplatz is one of the more traditional Advent markets in Berlin, held in the heart of Schöneberg, Tempelhof-Schöneberg district. Set on a square that normally hosts one of Berlin's largest weekly markets, it has a strong arts-and-crafts focus and a genuine neighbourhood character, popular with both locals and visitors. The surrounding square is known for its lively cafés, bars, and restaurants, making it an enjoyable destination beyond the market itself. Stalls offer handmade toys, earthenware, jewellery, and fragrant soaps alongside classic festive food and drink including Bratwurst, freshly made waffles, roasted almonds, candied apples, mulled wine, and Kinderpunsch. Families can enjoy a petting zoo and children's carousel, while a stage programme features Advent songs and choirs. The market is easily reached by U-Bahn to Nollendorfplatz (U1, U2, U3, U4) or bus line 204, which stops directly at Winterfeldtplatz.
