Dates: November 23 – December 22, 2026
Location: Marktstraße 4A, 13597 Berlin, Spandau, Germany
The Christmas Market in Spandau is one of Berlin's largest Christmas markets, set in the historic Altstadt Spandau (Old Town Spandau) in the Spandau district. Separated from the rest of Berlin by the Havel River, Spandau has a distinct local patriotism and atmosphere, and its old town provides a nostalgic backdrop of Spandau Town Hall and St. Nikolai Church. The market stretches across the Marktplatz, Carl-Schurz-Straße, Breite Straße and Reformationsplatz, with around 250 stalls on weekdays and up to 400 at weekends, offering crafts from all continents including Middle Eastern perfumes, Polish Christmas decorations, and Peruvian alpaca clothing. Highlights include a nostalgic Ferris wheel, a large illuminated Christmas pyramid, a medieval market section near St. Nikolai Church, carousels, live stage performances, and the chance to meet Santa Claus on Wednesdays. Food ranges from classic Glühwein, bratwurst and roasted almonds to Lángos, Flammkuchen, Cuban churros and Saxon pastries from a historic stone oven. The market sits in Berlin's largest connected pedestrian zone, with easy access via U7 (Altstadt Spandau or Rathaus Spandau), S-Bahn S3/S9, regional trains, and numerous bus lines to Spandau.
