Medieval Christmas Market at the RAW Compound

Dates: November 12 – December 22, 2026 (closed: Nov 22)

Location: Revaler Straße 99, Berlin-Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Germany

The Medieval Christmas Market at the RAW Compound is a historical Christmas market held in Friedrichshain, set within the RAW compound — a former Reichsbahn rail repair works now known as a hub for clubs, art, and culture. Unlike conventional Christmas markets, this one is lit entirely by torches and bonfires rather than neon or glitter, creating a genuinely mystical medieval atmosphere. Artisan stalls sell handmade goods from blacksmiths, woodcarvers, and potters, alongside jewellery, talismans, candles, local honey, herbal teas, wooden utensils, and even knights' armour, swords, and shields. Visitors can try archery, crossbow shooting, axe and knife throwing, and explore a troll forest, plus enjoy hand-operated wooden fairground rides, fire shows, juggling, acrobatics, bards, and medieval music. Food and drink includes hot mead, Feuerzangenbowle, mulled beer, red wine punch, flatbread, and grilled meats. The nearest station is Warschauer Straße, served by U1, U3, S3, S5, S7, S9, and S75, as well as trams M10 and M13 and buses 248 and 347.
