The Weihnachtsrodeo Design Market is an unconventional indoor Christmas market held inside the historic Colosseum Berlin, a hip industrial venue spanning more than 2,500 sq m in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. With over 15 years as a fixture of Berlin's pre-Christmas calendar, it has little in common with traditional Christmas markets, offering instead a festive, club-like atmosphere with DJ sets and a curated selection of over 200 designers, artisans and manufacturers selling design objects, fashion, jewellery, art, textiles, graphic art and handmade tree decorations. Visitors can browse street art, join DIY workshops, watch live painting, and relax in chill-out oases under Christmas trees. Street food, Christmas snacks, mulled wine and drinks are served throughout. The market is easily reached by public transport: S-Bahn lines S8, S41 and S42, U-Bahn U2, and Tram M1 all stop at Schönhauser Allee.
